We’re looking for a Procurement Business Partner to work with departments across Podium to maintain relationships and provide financial and business partner support.
In coordination with the Director of Procurement, the Procurement Business Partner will be responsible for managing vendor relationships and purchases with functional owners as well as collaborating with Finance, InfoSec, Legal, IT and other key stakeholders. This person will have a primary role in ensuring the business has the support needed and that the best possible pricing and commercial terms are achieved with an eye towards overall company objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead purchase and contract negotiations on purchases across various categories including software, professional services, marketing services and advertising, goods, and other business support items
Manage and interact with systems used to support procurement processes (SaaS management, intake/procure to pay, ERP, etc.); assist in ongoing implementation of procurement systems
Negotiate new vendor contracts ensuring optimal terms and pricing
Manage ongoing vendor relationships and contracts to ensure timely renewals, reduce costs, eliminate waste, and support business units as needed
Negotiate with vendors and maintain relationships to ensure favorable commercial terms
Assist stakeholders with requisitions and help navigate the procurement process including intake, RFP/RFQ, approvals, negotiations, contract execution, recording & reporting
Help establish and maintain budgets across departments and categories
Establish and lead regular vendor compliance and terms review process
Enforce procurement policies across the organization
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or similar quantitative discipline
5-10 years procurement experience in the technology category in one or more of the following areas: strategic sourcing, procurement/purchasing, vendor management, or management consulting.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organization skills, including experience manipulating data to derive insights for senior management and executives
Experience with and proficiency in procurement systems (ERP/Netsuite, SaaS management, P2P, spend management, etc.)
Ability to have difficult conversations with internal and external stakeholders; willingness to set and hold vendors to high expectations
Self-starter with ability to own projects from initial inquiry to completion
Experience in a high growth technology environment
