Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.  Role Summary    As Sr. Manager , Retail Experience Programming, you are a key leader of the Spaces team, responsible for executing experiences, events, marketing activations, and owner engagements across all Rivian Experience Spaces. You will collaborate closely with Brand, Comms, Marketing , and Facilities teams to concept, design, and execute experiences and activations that connect the Rivian c ommunity with one another and our Brand , nurturing strong bonds and lasting relationships centered on a shared desire to make the world a better place. Most of all, you will lead by example and inspire your team to live Rivian’s mission.  Responsibilities Own and implement the local programming, experience, and activation strategy for all retail markets and locations   Lead the execution and production of all programming, activations and events across the Rivian Retail portfolio; including brick and mortar locations, flagships, pop-ups, remote activations, events and future concepts    Deeply integrate with Brand, Comms, Marketing, Facilities and Digital Design to create and execute the Retail experience framework and playbook, enabling both a scalable and repeatable approach and hyper-local autonomy    Own and implement the strategy for hyper-local partnership programs focused on establishing organic relationships with local like-minded brands, artists, and makers that strongly align with Rivian’s mission and help lift local brand awareness and affinity   Develop a hyper-local community playbook that will empower regional and location-level leaders with the process, guidelines, and tools necessary to operate semi-autonomously and build deep, authentic relationships through community-related initiatives and activations   Define the physical space operational requirements necessary to support the experience strategy and work closely with Retail Ops and Facilities to ensure they are represented in each location plan    Build awareness, drive traffic, and encourage repeat visits by working closely with Marketing and Comms teams to establish a Spaces communication/marketing plan   Partner with Marketing and Comms to develop the launch strategy for each new location   Develop a Spaces PR events framework and process    Partner closely with the Drives and Ops teams to evaluate and establish how Drives integrate with Spaces Experience programming    Define and track relevant metrics of success, reporting on the impact of experience tactics and results of local community activations.    Ensure alignment of all experiences with the broader Spaces objectives and program goals   Manage the budgeting process for all experiences, including regular reporting and reconciliation, pro-forma evaluation, forecasting, modeling, gathering comp trends, and ensuring alignment with the overall Spaces program objectives and budgets   Coach, mentor, motivate and develop the Spaces Experience and Programming team and any assigned employees   Manage subcontractor deliverables and scope    Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of our retail spaces   Facilitate regular feedback meetings between Operations, Brand, Comms, Facilities and Marketing to review and solicit experience feedback   Deeply understand Rivian customer behavior and keep a pulse on the broader community to ensure all experiences align with customer needs and trends.     Work closely with Learning and Development and Regional leaders to build training plans against all experience offerings   Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Marketing, Community Engagement, Brand Experience, Hospitality, or similar disciplines     A passion for bringing people together around common values and shared passions    A proven track record leading the execution of   Deep experience building and scaling a community around a brand mission and through experiential programming    Ability to translate high-level brand values through compelling experiences   Ability to develop global community strategy and execute locally   Demonstrated ability to create a cohesive community experience through touchpoints that span across digital and physical environments    Strong understanding of digital support tools, such as CRM, traffic analytics, and POS   Strong knowledge of what drives thriving communities and the underlying psychology of their members    The ability and willingness to travel regularly, up to 70% of the time, including driving to various worksites   Ability and availability to support experiences and events on nights and weekends    Ability to support onsite event production, including lifting heavy equipment and standing for long durations    Willingness to work in a strong cross functional environment    Ability to work effectively and flexibly in an ambiguous environment   Empathy, patience, and natural respect for all people, irrespective of background, beliefs, or culture     Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and proven track record of highly effective collaboration   A deep desire to make the world a better place   Salary Range for Irvine, CA Based Applicants: $150,000 - 173,000   (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).   Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26.
