Your Job Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
Process customer sales orders and invoicing requests from Salesforce CPQ into Netsuite
Interpreting billing details from customer order forms and setting invoicing schedules accordingly
Review customer contracts, quotes and purchase orders and issue invoices to customers in accordance with relevant agreed terms
Maintain logs of orders that cannot be billed due to PO/contract discrepancies and followup.
Updating and maintaining the customer billing schedule including new, renewal, upsell, downsell, and churn customer invoices as well as contract amendments.
Keep ongoing communication between Sales, CX and Accounting to ensure accurate billing/renewal and understand and resolve payment delays and billing queries
Work closely with the Sales Operations team to assure bookings workflow to invoices is accurate and reconciling month-end billing between Salesforce and Netsuite.
Become familiar with sales tax/VAT regulations covering the company's sales; obtain a copy of exemption certificate if customer is exempt and if sales tax invoiced in error work with outsourced Sales Tax team/Avalara to get it resolved.
Ensure integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions and internal controls
Assist in providing supporting documentation for audits and ad hoc
Perform monthly revenue close tasks in Netsuite, including reconciliations and analysis of key accounts
Work with team on any system implementation/improvement tasks as needed
Your Skillset
What makes you a great fit for the team:
3-5 years of experience as AR/Billing Specialist, Staff Accountant or similar (within accounting/revenue) at a technology company, SaaS experience preferred.
Experience with an ERP- NetSuite and Salesforce SaaS billing highly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Customer collections and sales tax experience a plus
Excellent Excel skills for data aggregation, analysis, and reporting.
Understanding of accounting systems and data structure, especially billing systems.
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $69,000 - $103,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
