We have been named one of Built In's 2022 Best Places to Work™ and are certified as a Great Place to Work®.   The Role The Security Engineering team, part of GoGuardian’s Tech Foundation department, manages the security of our applications, data, and cloud infrastructure. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will find, implement and manage new security tools to improve GG security posture. You will join our expanding engineering team to protect our infrastructure, ensure GG sensitive data is kept confidential, and our security controls are intact. Our security team is growing, and this role allows for significant impact.   What You'll Do Analyze, assess, and respond to various internet threats, both proactively and reactively. Administer and maintain security systems and tools, including software updates, configuration and control reviews. Build tools and automation to manage and enforce security policies, automate processes at scale. Help review and design systems that improve the security of application software and infrastructure.  Partner with other engineers to design and build effective security tools by sharing high-level understanding of security policy, risk, and/or access management. Work with vendors and third parties to understand their processes, technology and/or applications to ensure appropriate security controls are in place to protect GoGuardian and its customers. Document information security policies, procedures, and tests. Contribute to security engineering planning and execution. Monitor, detect, and report any threats directed against the GoGuardian’s networks and systems   Who You Are 5+ years of experience Experience with one or more core security concepts: application security; operating systems security; authentication, authorization, and identity systems; secure coding practices; network and web security protocols. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), particularly security-related features such as: IAM; key management; network management; audit logging. Familiarity with security frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001/2, or equivalent. Experience scripting and coding to implement and/or verify security solutions. Go (Golang), Javascript, Python, Java/Scala, or shell scripting languages preferred. Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred Eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic environment.
