Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual with a strong academic background in machine learning, specifically reinforcement learning, to join our team as a Machine Learning Scientist Intern. As an intern, you will work on developing and implementing state-of-the-art reinforcement learning algorithms to solve real-world problems in various domains, including personalized marketing and discovery.
Responsibilities:
Work with the team to design and implement cutting-edge reinforcement learning algorithms to solve business problems
Collaborate with other team members to integrate the developed algorithms into our existing systems
Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of the developed algorithms and analyze the results
Keep up-to-date with the latest research in the field of reinforcement learning and apply relevant insights to our work
Communicate research findings and technical information effectively to the team and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a focus on machine learning
Strong programming skills in Python or a similar language
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Knowledge of reinforcement learning is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience in reinforcement learning, demonstrated through publications in top-tier conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR
Pursuing a PhD in Machine Learning with a focus on RL or similar
Experience with personalization or marketing applications
Knowledge of other advanced machine learning techniques
Previous experience in model deployment for a production setting
Prior experience through Machine Learning, Research Science, or Applied Science internships or a full-time job is a plus
