Accounting Manager

The Position: The Accounting Manager will be the primary owner of the company’s financial systems and reporting. This position will work collaboratively across the organization and report to the VP Finance. Qualifications (What You’ve Done): Undergraduate degree in Accounting and/or Finance (or a related field) 3-7 years of experience in public accounting and/or at a private tech company Ownership of month-end close process including all reconciliations, roll forwards, accruals, etc. Demonstrate the ability to understand complex accounting concepts and distill into concise summaries Startup experience is a plus, but not required CPA is a plus, but not required Responsibilities (What You’ll Do): Month-End Close: update the company’s ledger and record all transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP Monthly Reporting Packages: provide summarized financial information for Management, Board of Directors and Banking Partners Transaction Processing: ensure all invoices are recorded, vendors are paid, customers are paying in a timely manner Sales Commission Plan: administer the sales commission plan, including calculating the relevant accruals and payout Annual Audit: serve as key point of contact with auditors FP&A: to the extent candidates express interest and aptitude, they will take on additional forecasting and ad-hoc analysis responsibilities Compliance: oversee tax return preparation and other relevant compliance matters Tolerate Bad Jokes: we’ll have fun Compensation: Competitive salary Bonus eligible Equity participation in a rapidly growing technology company with tremendous upside potential in the form of stock options Health, dental, and vision insurance 401K Participation 12 Company Holidays While we offer an optional office setting in the heart of Manhattan, NYC, this role is U.S.-based with the ability to work remotely VirtualHealth is committed to ensuring that information security remains a top priority for everyone.
