About the team
Valon’s Product team is a growing, fast-paced team with a goal of building a mortgage servicing platform that empowers mortgage servicing agents to focus on providing exceptional services and delivers a phenomenally transparent product experience to homeowners. As Group Product Manager of Default Servicing, you will own and drive forward both the homeowner and servicing team member experience end-to-end in our web, mobile channels, and digital notifications. Stuff happens and sometimes homeowners need help to get back on track with their obligations. Your team will make this experience frictionless, empathetic, and compliant. You’ll be working closely with our world-class engineering team to design, build and scale a fintech platform that transforms complicated mortgage regulation into intuitive, seamless user experiences.
As a Group Product Manager, you’ll :
Define, own, and deliver business-level objectives and product strategy for the default mortgage servicing teams
Lead by example, at times, working alongside the team in defining requirements, workflows, interaction, user journeys, process/screen flows, and wireframes
Develop and execute a technical vision that embeds our products throughout the Valon ecosystem
Drive efficiency and automation for Valon’s operational teams working with homeowners on the front lines
Create and manage teamwork plans, including staffing and budgets
Contribute to the product management cohort by mentoring junior PMs and evolving the product methodology
Create & present business cases and business models for new product investments, and measure/quantify success of product launches
Define simple, generalizable technical solutions to ambiguous problems and outline the solutions via clear and executable product requirements
Ideal Background
You have managed a product foundational in nature, providing the digital bedrock for multiple use cases and platforms
You thrive in ambiguity, you can iterate and deliver products quickly
You have a proven track record of building and launching delightful products through a customer-centric, iterative approach
You have experience building and managing cross-functional teams
You have excellent 360 degree stakeholder management skills
You are the mastery of key product management concepts, including a deep technical understanding of how software works, how to structure a good sprint process, and how to take a product from concept through launch
You are able to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced work environment
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of product management experience in technical, complex product portfolio. 2+ years managing other product managers in a fast-paced, high-tech company environment
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
MBA, other advanced degree or equivalent experience is a plus
Familiarity and comfort working with financial and regulated systems also a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to foster conversations that build consensus
