Valon Insurance is a new venture within Valon. Its primary mandate is to create new revenue streams for Valon by cross-selling insurance products, developing Valon’s own insurance offerings, and improving the overall customer insurance experience. Insurance Sales Development at Valon The Insurance Sales Development team is primarily focused on growing insurance revenue for Valon Insurance by converting Valon homeowners into insurance customers. The team works closely with cross-functional departments like Marketing, Product, Client Engagement, and Third-party Insurance Agency partners to drive customer conversion. The team is responsible for articulating Valon Insurance’s value propositions to and managing inbound and outbound interactions with prospective insurance buyers About the Role We are looking for enthusiastic sales professionals to help us build the Insurance Sales Development team. As an Insurance Sales Development Associate, you are expected to hit the ground running and start generating leads by calling and emailing Valon homeowners. Sales Development Associates will be provided with a list of target homeowners to contact and solicit their insurance business. As a new and lean team, you will also be responsible for helping us test and iterate on sales processes and marketing content. The ideal candidate is someone who has prior sales experience, is comfortable on the phone, and is able to de-escalate hostile or uninterested customers. Responsibilities Make outbound calls (50+ per day) and transfer leads to our insurance agency partners for customer conversion Manage call campaigns and customer interactions in the CRM platform Own multi-touch customer communications across phone, email, and other channels Work closely with Client Engagement teams to manage inbound insurance inquiries Adhere to insurance sales guidelines, processes, and SLAs Provide constructive feedback on improving the overall effectiveness of insurance marketing campaigns and sales processes Continuously develop interpersonal communication and sales skillset Expected Outcomes Drive 25%+ of target customer to insurance agency partners Ideal Background 2-3 years of sales development, telemarketing/cold-calling, or customer support experience Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively Ability to quickly learn and adopt systems and processes Demonstrate a resilient and positive attitude Proven record of driving sales and working in fast-paced environments Prior insurance experience is preferred but not required* *If you do not currently have an active insurance producer license, you will be expected to take and pass the requisite insurance licensing exam within 60 days of hire - Valon will reimburse associated fees for the first attempt.
