Turo is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for owning key revenue accounting areas, supporting the monthly close process, audit requests and inquiries, and process enhancement efforts. From marketplace, high-volume transaction context, you will leverage SQL and analyze sizeable datasets for various purposes, including reporting and transaction research.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the month end close process, making process improvements, working with SQL and large data, and working cross-functionally across the organization. Turo has ambitious growth plans and therefore we are looking for people who are eager to learn, adaptable, and want to make an impact.
What you’ll do
Month-end close support related to revenue activities. Includes preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and flux commentary related to owned areas
Provide quality audit support, fielding requests and questions over owned areas on timely basis
Key contributor to process enhancement efforts and improvement projects, working effectively cross-functionally, with efficiency and scalability in mind
Working with large datasets within high-volume marketplace context - data querying, analysis, manipulation, validation
Take on ad-hoc requests and drive on projects outside of day-to-day duties
Determine accounting treatment and produce first-draft memos for new initiatives and revenue streams
Working knowledge of ASC 606 - ability to perform SSP analysis, guidance research
Documenting accounting processes and controls
Travel - 5-10%
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
4+ years of experience working in revenue accounting at a tech company, preferably marketplace tech
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Communication culture - positive, open and direct communication. Respect and professionalism
Ability to prioritize and operate in a fast-paced environment
Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with other teams to drive results collaboratively
Experience with SQL strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Systems knowledge of NetSuite, FloQast, Coupa, Stripe, Lattice, and Slack preferred
Demonstrate Turo’s values through work product and within day to day team interactions
CPA preferred
The Phoenix base salary target range for this full-time position is $106,000 - $130,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
