About the team
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and customer-oriented Summer Student - Host Onboarding Specialist to join our growing team in Toronto on a 4 month contract.
Our Host Onboarding team is expanding to keep up with the demand for cars in the Turo marketplace. We’re looking for a scrappy Summer Student - Host Onboarding Specialist to further accelerate our growth by growing our vehicle supply and fulfilling our mission to put the world’s billion+ cars to better use.
You’ll build our host community to broaden our selection of listings across the country. As an Host Onboarding Specialist, you’ll help us develop and test different channels and types of messaging to drive more vehicle supply.

What you will do
Own the entire onboarding process in a high-velocity environment
Educate new hosts on our platform and the benefits of car sharing
Provide additional support to hosts through ongoing education
Gather product/experience feedback and communicate findings to the relevant teams at Turo
We're a small team in a dynamic startup environment; you may be called upon to support the Host Onboarding team in other capacities, such as supporting live events or partner meetings
Your profile
Second or third-year university students from all academic backgrounds who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in host onboarding and a peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace, as well as developing their professional skills.
Comfort with high call volume and multiple lines of communication
Excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and minimal need for supervision
Hyper organized: your Salesforce records will set the bar for everyone at the company
Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic startup environment; you’ll have guidance when you need it, but you’re also goal-oriented and can execute without close supervision
Strong desire to expand and acquire new skills
Positive mental attitude, high energy, high integrity, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and a commitment to our mission
Fluency in French is a plus, but not required
This is a fixed term contract; therefore, not all benefits may apply for this position.
