About the Role:
Tubi is seeking an experienced, analytical, and deal-driven Associate to join our rapidly expanding Content Acquisitions and Partnerships team to focus on our Licensed Global Television business. In this role you will support the TV licensing team by maintaining important relationships with existing content partners, negotiating deal terms for new content partners, assisting in the development of strategies for acquisition initiatives, and serving as a key liaison between the VOD team and various cross-functional teams. Your primary responsibilities will be to support the continued growth of our AVOD offering. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker who has exceptional attention to detail and can apply a solution-oriented attitude to problems big and small. This role is integral to ensuring that we continue to expand our content offering and hit our growth targets.
This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, New York, or San Francisco. Must be able and willing to work from one of our LA/NY/SF offices approximately three days a week.
Responsibilities:
Support the development and rollout of content acquisition strategy for all licensed television programming in the US, Canada, LatAm, and Australia.
Act as the cross-functional liaison on behalf of Content Acquisitions with partner teams (legal, finance, product, ad sales, operations, and marketing) to ensure that clear and robust communication and collaboration takes place pre and post-execution of licensing agreements.
Establish scalable and resource-efficient workflows in order to ensure timely deal flow across partner teams.
Execute AVOD content licensing agreements with global and local licensors.
Support all aspects of content licensing negotiations, including content selection, financial analysis, forecasting, and technical delivery requirements.
Dive deep into the data to understand content performance and engagement trends using usage and consumption to inform content acquisition decision-making.
Work with the VOD and FAST rev share team lead to support long-term and ad hoc projects in service of broader strategy for the Content Acquisitions and Partnerships team.
Develop market expertise through a focus on global and local market programming, engagement trends, and competitive intelligence to identify new and emerging opportunities.
Understand the multicultural television marketplace; source and evaluate programming opportunities that align with such cultural or social trends.
Identify, explore, and strategize content acquisition opportunities
Your Background:
A minimum of 3 years of prior content licensing, distribution, or international business development experience at a leading entertainment or technology company.
Strong knowledge of the domestic and international AVOD and FAST market, including a solid understanding of digital video distribution technologies.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and understanding of how to measure content value through analyzing performance metrics.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to develop creative, clear, and concise narratives for a variety of audiences.
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented; ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
Encyclopedic knowledge and love of movies and TV.
Ability to navigate a variety of content management systems and data analysis tools.
Willingness to travel to major content markets.
BA or BS degree required.
