Job Description
The People Technology Manager will be part of a group that supports and partners with many of the People Operations functions and will report to the Sr. Director of People Technology and Analytics. They are responsible for managing a team of system analysts to gather business requirements, troubleshoot system issues, provide end-user support, and perform ongoing configuration and optimization of our HR systems and integrations. This role is hands on and has global reach, interacting with clients in all geographies where Tripadvisor has employees. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in HR systems, especially Workday, as well as experience managing HRIS teams of 4-6 analysts.
What You'll Do
Uses mastery-level knowledge of Workday, and other systems as assigned, to provide oversight and hands-on configuration support to their subordinate(s).
Recommends, advocates, and/or develops initiatives that integrate Workday with other systems, and works with internal teams and external vendors to identify solutions.
Oversees and owns system configuration for subordinates’ assigned areas.
Coaches and guides subordinates in the evaluation, communication, and coordination of the technical impacts of Workday configuration decisions
Recommends and implements HRIS support and delivery process improvements, incorporating agile principles and practices to optimize productivity and promote quality assurance.
Leads end user system education and adoption initiatives
Manages system and/or product roadmaps ensuring alignment with overall systems and HR strategies
Manages small to large projects using project, risk, and resource management principles, tools, and practices
Conducts and/or manages compliance assessments and gap analysis on systems and products
Serves as escalation point for HR system production issues
Partners with stakeholders on new product/system evaluations
Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements
Evaluates, builds, and develops a high performing team of system analysts
Builds strong partnerships with COE stakeholders to inform and make recommendations for the HR technology enablement and/or support strategy.

Skills and Experience
6-8 years’ business experience in the HR domain
3-4 years’ HRIS management experience, managing HRIS teams of 3-6 individual contributors
4+ years’ Workday configuration experience, with mastery-level proficiency in at least one of the following Workday modules:
HCM
Core and Advanced Compensation
Time Off, Absence, and Time Tracking
Payroll
Excellent business analysis skills: timeline planning, requirements definition and documentation, test planning, deployment approaches, gap analysis
Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
Superior detail orientation, organization, and analytical skills
Outstanding Excel skills and experience with project management tools
Thrives on simultaneously managing multiple responsibilities
Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growing environment with minimal supervision
Experience using agile delivery practices and methodologies
Preferred Skills/Abilities
Experience with Workday integrations and development practices
Knowledge of or experience with Design Thinking methodology and/or journey mapping
System administration or implementation experience with Greenhouse and/or ServiceNow (HRSD product)
Experience with HR Analytics development and/or tools
Experience with contract negotiations for HR system implementations and/or renewals
Scrum master certification or training
Experience with change management methods and programs
The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $170,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
