We are looking for an Associate Director of Brand Franchises with experience in fast paced and agile (preferably tech) businesses. Working under our Senior Director of Global Brand, you will be responsible for bringing our brand strategy to life through our global brand franchises, including our travel awards program, Travelers’ Choice. Our brand franchises are some of the most recognized and coveted in the industry, bringing in tens of billions of impressions, and inspiring hundreds of millions of travelers every month to get the most out of their trips. We have big plans to expand how we bring these programs to life and we need a champion to lead us there.
You will partner with our product, marketing, creative, data, engineering, social, partnerships, PR, and editorial teams to promote and grow the Tripadvisor brand with travelers through these signature programs. This role sits within our Global Marketing organization, and will have the power of decades of brand trust and affinity behind it. This is an entrepreneurial role that requires strategic, analytical, and creative skills including strong product sensibility.
What You’ll Do
Implement and manage the overall strategy of our brand franchise programs, including Travelers’ Choice and our offline branded placements
Own category launches end to end from category brainstorms, data pulling and go-to-market planning to share-outs and reporting - leading kick-offs, check-ins, and debriefs and all communications channels
Optimize and improve the product footprint of our brand franchises, working closely with our product and product design teams for both consumer understanding and business owner engagement
Measure and report on the performance of our brand franchises including awareness metrics, consumer engagement KPIs, and owner engagement KPIs
Act as primary liaison between our brand franchises and the rest of the business: from advertising partners to hospitality solutions sales teams
Collaborate with design and creative teams to develop go-to-market and in-product campaigns that leverage our branded content all year
Keep pulse on market competition, ensuring messaging and product stay ahead of the market
Use data and analysis to make evidence-based decisions and continually improving our reporting to make the most of the programs as they evolve
Energize and inspire a cross-functional group of stakeholders
Skills & Experience
Minimum 9+ year’s experience
Demonstrated experience growing and executing on a brand and customer strategy
Have experience in rethinking, evolving, building new creative brand strategies for a business
Creative problem-solving skills with focus on efficient execution while balancing big-picture thinking
Exceptional project management and organization skills, with a keen eye for detail, requiring minimal supervision
Lean-in, proactive & independent, always looking for ways to take initiative and improve existing programs/processes
Must be a collaborative, cross-functional team player and comfortable partnering with a variety of teams from Growth and Product Marketing to Engineering and Design
Must exhibit superb verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of comfort interpreting results and communicating insights effectively
Passion for user engagement
Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit
Must love travel
