In this role, you will be tasked with showing the right product to the right customer at the right time.  The objective is to balance the needs of the buyer and the seller that drives business results.  You will be empowered to build out the future strategy for the personalization domain, build out business cases, evangelize and get buy-in from peers and stakeholders and finally test, learn and iterate.  Plan to move fast! You will also be responsible for stakeholder management, providing thought leadership, and partnering across functional areas and other product teams to launch initiatives that deliver value to the customer and our business. What You Get To Do Every Day Dig into data to surface opportunities to improve the experience and drive results Creatively propose incremental experiments to learn quickly, delivered through technology Collaborate with development teams to ship impactful customer experience Present to leadership on a regular basis, including scope recommendations, launch strategies, project performance post-launch and go-forward plans Include development teams at the stage of “why” and the problem statement, not after the work has been decided. Data over gut Outcomes over output Driving to key milestones, removing blockers, and resolving issues Become a master of your domain and the go to person for all things search What You Bring To The Role 4+ years of experience in Product Management with a focus on search and personalization (required) Self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment, working independently on several major initiatives at a time Proven track-record: past projects were consistently successful (i.e. met the consumer’s need, met business objectives, delivered on-time with no/few surprises) Creative problem solver. Able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions Outcome oriented: not reactionary; clearly and continuously communicate the desired outcome and work collaboratively to create a path to achieve it Consensus builder. Able to curate and build on the ideas of others in pursuit of the best solution Must be an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills Must have strong product vision & instincts and demonstrate thought leadership Big thinking: should be able to help a small team achieve goals out of their comfort zone Strong understanding of product-building areas including engineering, design, analytics, and user research/insights Must have a great understanding and empathy for The RealReal customers and be their advocate Rigorous: ask hard questions, validate their assumptions, and make sure asks align to the actual needs of the business Have a great eye for a good technical solve and must be able to collaborate with engineers   Want to learn more about our team at The RealReal? To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
