The Lead Analyst, People Technology will be a key member of the People Technology team focusing on continuous improvement and day to day technical support of Workday Payroll, Benefits, Absence + Time Tracking modules and related integrations. This position will work closely with Payroll and Benefits business partners and other key business stakeholders to analyze current Workday configurations and implement improvements that maximize efficiency and the return on Workday’s technological capabilities. The Lead People Technology Analyst will also serve as a technical subject matter expert and point-of-contact for payroll, benefits, absence, and time tracking modules.

Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and collaborate on improvement opportunities within our benefits, payroll, absence, and time tracking systems
Develop long term, scalable business process design enhancements, reports, and dashboards that will advance Workday adoption and ease of use
Deploy creative solutioning to accommodate for gaps between business needs and system capabilities
Partner with the Payroll team to create reports, system and process improvements that streamline payroll operations
Participate in Workday Community, evaluating available features and contributed solutions to bring enhancements and efficiencies to our current benefits, payroll, absence, and time tracking configurations
Drive biannual Workday Feature Release planning for designated modules by evaluating new features and partnering with payroll, benefits, and people technology team members on testing, communication, and functionality uptake
Troubleshoot and drive resolution of complex technical system or integration issues and defects by researching, diagnosing, and performing hands on configuration updates that may include custom validations, condition or eligibility rules, and calculated fields or partnering with vendors on defect resolution for integrations
Organize any testing efforts for designated Workday modules - collect requirements, validate test scenarios with functional business partners, perform technical testing, and facilitate user acceptance and regression testing
Establish appropriate methods of auditing and monitoring of data and processes to ensure accuracy and SOX compliance
Create and maintain technical documentation on business processes, change requests, and enhancements as well as end user friendly reference guides and training material
What You Bring To The Role
Our ideal candidate has strong analytical and technical skills as well as significant experience configuring and supporting Workday Payroll, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking. You are resourceful, proactive, detail oriented and possess the following skills, abilities, and/or experiences:
3+ years of relevant experience in a retail environment supporting both high volume and corporate business areas
3+ years experience configuring Workday business processes, conditional rules, eligibility rules, and calculated fields
Ability to understand business needs to translate them into clearly written technical requirements and proposed Workday solutions
Ability to think critically and make strategic decisions treating every challenge as an opportunity for improvement and efficiency
Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent requests and deliverables
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, leadership and third party vendors
Strong knowledge of Workday Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking modules with experience configuring benefits and absence plans, time off, time entry templates and codes, accrual calculations and schedules
Strong knowledge of payroll processing life-cycle within Workday (pay inputs, calculations, retro processing, complete, settlement) and pay calculation troubleshooting
Significant experience creating advanced reports (composite, matrix), visualizations, and dashboards in Workday
Significant experience creating payroll reports with pay component related calculations (Conditional, Logic, Instance Set, Aggregate, Comparison, etc.
Significant knowledge of payroll + benefits integrations (Etrade, ADP, Fidelity, Cigna, Metlife, etc).
Proficient in Workday EIB Data loading process
Basic understanding of Workday Security
Experience supporting at least two Workday Feature Releases
Proficient in google sheets/excel
Workday Pro Certification(s) a plus
The expected salary range for this role is $117,007.00 - $135,000. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
