The Process Improvement Engineer II will be tasked with promoting and driving efficiencies throughout the TRR network. This will be achieved by learning processes and using both observed methods and analyzed data to identify opportunities and communicate recommendations.
What You Get To Do Every Day
Technical documentation- Source relevant information required, recognize and make connections
Process observations and time studies- Recognize elements to capture, accurately record and summarize findings
Workstation design- Identify inefficiencies, test and implement changes
Engineered labor standards- Collect data for, and develop labor models for low to medium-variance processes
Labor planning- Develop and drive planning tools
Root cause analysis- Trace back process steps to find the true source of issues, identify those that are not
Training- Train operators using developed Best Practices
Facilities design- Calculate distributions of space including inventory storage, create production floor plans based on known workstation designs, propose optimal flows
Process simulation- Understand simulation logic and calculations, create simulations for low to medium-variance processes
Performance management- Understand KPIs and relevant metrics, create and maintain relevant tools or reporting, use reporting to recommend and drives improvement
Presentation- Effectively communicate findings and answer related questions to audiences within project scopes.
What You Bring To The Role
BS degree in Industrial Engineering, or a related field required
MOST certification preferred
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
3 years experience-
Using Lean tools and methodologies
Workspace design
Capacity planning
Developing work standards
Staff planning and labor modeling
The expected salary range for this role is $77,878.00 - $93,687.00 . To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
