Engineering Manager, Appointment Experience

We’re hiring, and we’d love for you to join our dynamic team! We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Appointment experience team in our Customer Growth group. You’ll support our public-facing website, backend systems and also our integrations with our internal facing CRM platform that power the consignment experience. You’ll push the boundaries of personalization, search, and design as we make our consignor/seller experience even easier and better. You’ll also build supporting systems and integrate with technology from around the company to improve seller-related operations.  You’ll be exposed to the latest technology, a data-driven culture, while surrounded by a friendly, helpful team. These technical challenges are at the core of The RealReal’s business and this leader will have a significant impact on the company’s development roadmap and business success. This position is Remote within the United States and will report to the Director of Engineering. Strong understanding of web technologies: HTML5, Javascript, CSS/SASS, REST, JSON Strong understanding of web-app performance fundamentals and related dev tools Strong database fundamentals and experience with MySQL or Postgresql Familiarity with search engines such as Elasticsearch, Lucene, Solr is a plus Experience creating integrations between applications using custom built tools or SAAS platforms  Bachelor of Computer Science degree or equivalent experience NICE TO HAVE Prior e-commerce experience Experience with GraphQL, Kafka Mastery of git and Github workflows Advanced CS degree or equivalent   The expected salary range for this role is $184,317.00 - $215,575.00 . To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
