The Real Real’s drivers are the public face of the company, trusted to transport and handle client products and engage with clients and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner. Drivers must have good customer service skills as well as the professionalism and patience needed to deal with traffic, road conditions and other drivers. Drivers must have the hand-eye coordination to operate their vehicle safely at all times while maintaining awareness of their surroundings.  The safety of people and products is the most important responsibility of the Driver. At the beginning and end of each shift, the driver will be responsible for inspecting their vehicle to ensure that it is in good condition and not in need of any maintenance or repairs. Drivers must follow all traffic laws and posted speed limits, even at the expense of arriving late to their destinations. Drivers may not text or make or phone calls while operating any company vehicle. If they encounter any hazardous conditions while working, the driver must report the problems to the manager and only proceed when safe to do so. If their vehicle develops mechanical difficulties, the driver will be responsible for documenting the problem and taking the vehicle in for repairs. What You Get To Do Every Day Drive (store operations, curbside pick up, decouple, linehaul) Manage vehicle maintenance and servicing to include oil changes, tires changes, etc. Maintain constant contact with management and dispatch, keeping track of product pickups and drop-offs as necessary Identify any problems that occur during the route and escalate as appropriate Communicate in a friendly professional manner with clients and co-workers Operate and maintain company vehicles safely and efficiently Handle all physical requirements for loading, transporting and driving without assistance Execute accurate and timely handling of pickups and drop offs Prepare accurate paperwork and records Follow all company inventory control procedures Assist with store operations as needed What You Bring To The Role Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a good driving record Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over, up and down inclines, stairs, changes in walking surfaces and elevations Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs and to walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time Be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening and background check Demonstrate safe and efficient driving skills At least 1-2 years of route transportation experience is required Computer proficiency Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork Strong customer service and verbal communication skills Commitment to adhere and enforce all safety and security procedures Safely load and unload from the shuttle Non – smoker preferred CDL preferred Must be punctual and available to work overtime as needed   The expected hourly rate for this role is $21.00 - $21.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
