The Senior Manager of Operations Strategy and Program Management is a critical strategic position within The RealReal’s operations organization. This newly created role will think strategically at the highest level while simultaneously managing and executing the day-to-day actions necessary to achieve our ambitious goals. The Senior Manager will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of productivity focused initiatives, developing our Program Management center of excellence and team, and managing change throughout the merchandise operations organization. This individual has experience leading teams and strategic initiatives, working cross functionally to provide data based recommendations and drive results. What You Get To Do Every Day Drive the design and implementation of productivity focused initiatives, partnering cross functionally with the product, technology, merchandising, sales, and other operational teams. Determine approach, timeline, cost / benefit tradeoffs, risks and operational impact to drive programs to success. Prepare executive level recommendations and present them to Steering Committee(s) on a frequent basis. Lead the Operations Program Management Office, building detailed project plans for all key strategic initiatives. Monitor key Operational initiatives and prepare executive level updates on progress, risks, mitigation strategies, financial / productivity impact, and next steps. Drive Change Management for key strategic operational initiatives. Create a toolkit with project frameworks and develop detailed change management plans for all key initiatives. Prepare executive level recommendations and present them to Operational Leadership Team on a frequent basis. Manage the Supply Chain Project Manager, assigning project ownership, setting clear objectives, providing feedback, and ensuring project success. Provide coaching and frequent feedback to widen the skill set and lead by example. Ensure all Manager owned initiatives are on track by monitoring project progress, impact, metrics, and potential roadblocks.  Support development of the medium and long-term strategy for Inbound operations. Create rigorous business cases that include recommendations based on analytical analyses around productivity improvements, financial costs and savings, operational requirements, trade-offs, and cross-functional support. What You Bring To The Role Minimum 5+ years of professional experience with at least five years in strategy, program management, and/or operational efficiency roles. MBA and/or consulting experience is a plus At least 2-3 years working in a customer-centric ecommerce environment. Omnichannel experience is a plus Drives successful execution of projects across multiple functional groups and links production strategies to broader supply chain initiatives Utilizes detailed project and change management plans to drive successful implementation, closely monitoring initiative progress, impact and risks. Methodically breaks large, complex problems into smaller pieces and build solutions using a data-driven approach Arrives at recommendations through quantitative data collection and qualitative institutional knowledge. Drives with a strong focus on KPIs and accountability. Uses clear written and verbal communication methods to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations, and analytical analyses to cross functional partners and executives Thrives working in a high growth, dynamic, changing, and evolving environment and is comfortable with ambiguity Results oriented, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and drive self ownership Willing to “roll up sleeves” to get into the operational details to support strategic concepting   The expected salary range for this role is $154,741.00 - $186,155.00 . To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
