Security Intern

About the Role We are seeking a Security Intern to assist our security team in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security threats to our organization. The successful candidate will work closely with the security team to perform security assessments, vulnerability scans, network security monitoring and drive remediations. The security intern may also assist in developing and implementing security procedures, playbooks and standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist in performing security assessments and vulnerability scans. Assist in conducting network security monitoring and log analysis. Participate in the development and implementation of security playbooks, procedures, and standards. Assist in identifying and mitigating security risks to the organization. Participate in security investigation and  incident response activities. Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and vulnerabilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn. Familiarity with common network protocols and security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
