Smartsheet is looking for an experienced product marketing manager to support Control Center, our premier capability for project portfolio management. Control Center builds on the core value of Smartsheet to deliver project consistency and visibility at scale by automating project creation, managing change, and aggregating portfolio reporting. You will own messaging, positioning, and content development for this strategic capability designed to help our customers drive meaningful change by scaling their work for more output and more team members. You will demonstrate strategic marketing vision and leadership, cross-team and executive alignment, a bias for ownership and excellence, and a passion for developing compelling cross-platform positioning and activities category leadership, competitive disruption, and audience recognition for Smartsheet.
You Will:
Work with product management, business strategy, and other marketing teams to develop messaging, go to market strategy, and customer facing tactics to drive awareness, purchase, and adoption for strategic platform capabilities for project portfolio management
Partner closely with the sales teams to understand and develop new resources that will drive the biggest business impact
Research and understand your multifaceted business, including partnering closely with your colleagues across the company, developing sources of quantitative and qualitative information that informs strategy and tactics
Identify customer stories to reinforce positioning, including references, testimonials and case studies
Develop educational content and resources that showcases the advantages of Smartsheet's products and brand for internal and external audiences
Work cross-departmentally with multiple teams to develop self-service educational assets and track performance
Support other duties as needed
You Have:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or relevant field
5+ years product marketing or sales experience in enterprise technologies, including experience in cloud / SaaS environments
Experience with delivering results as a part of a cross-functional team
Demonstrated customer track record with strong maturity
Ability to drive impact across organizational boundaries, with matrixed program ownership
Experience influencing teams across all levels of an organization
Data-driven and able to look across trends to provide recommendations
Experience developing customer-facing marketing and/or sales collateral
Can distill simple positioning and messages from complex products
Outstanding oral and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Excellent project management skills and the ability to oversee projects from start to finish
Excellent work ethic and ability to manage work independently
Clearly structure data to draw fact-based conclusions from it
Focused on improving processes to do more with existing resources through improved efficiency
Comfort with high levels of ambiguity – this is a new function and change is expected
Smartsheet product experience preferred

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $118,800 to $172,800 | All other US States: $110,000 to $160,000
