About the role:
We are seeking a Sales Director for Australia and APAC Markets who will report to the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and be responsible for leading inside sales and business development efforts in the region. The Sales Director will lead and support the Inside Sales Representative s to meet monthly and quarterly goals while developing plans and strategies to achieve the company's aggressive revenue and profit objectives over the coming 3-5 years. The Sales Director will also define and oversee incentive programs, sales training programs, and a program of support and mentorship to ensure appropriate succession planning and career development.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the existing Melbourne-based direct sales team and ensure alignment with supporting teams, operations, and functions.
Define and oversee incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve individual sales targets and company sales objectives.
Define and coordinate sales training programs that develop staff potential in selling abilities and interpersonal skills with executive-level customers and partners.
Management and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
Assist in the planning process, specifically in sales forecasting and sales pipeline management. Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to the company leadership team and other functions.
We ar e looking for someone who has (Qualifications):
7+ years of sales experience, including 5+ years of SaaS/software sales experience, and at least 4 years in sales management.
Experience leading and developing sales professionals in a high velocity and enterprise model. Experienced in large enterprise sales cycles of three to six months and an average deal size of $100K to $500K per sale.
Tangible experience scaling an inside sales operation to sell to mid-sized businesses with a 30 to 60-day sales cycle and average deal size in the $10K to $50K range.
Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
