Signifyd is looking for a passionate entry-level web developer to join the marketing team as a Web Developer Intern. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to spend a year with a fast-growing technology company. You’ll work closely with our talented Belfast and US-based teams, assisting in a wide range of projects. This will help you learn and grow as you will be exposed to multiple languages, frameworks, processes and custom plugins which aid in web development.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and improve multiple websites
Work with designers and other key stakeholders to create custom and unique layouts
Write efficient code using best practices
Create and maintain documentation
Other development-related activities as assigned
Must have (Requirements)
Javascript development experience, minimum basic level, 6 months use
HTML & CSS experience, minimum advanced level, can construct a grid layout
Experience with a PHP CMS, such as Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.
PHP development experience, minimum basic level, e.g. 6 months full-time use as a tool
Good problem solving skills
Good organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines
Team player with ability to work cross functionally
Good eye for detail
Nice to have
Experience with React, Vue or other similar Javascript web application framework
An understanding of version control systems such as Github
Experience developing custom PHP modules for WordPress or other CMS
An understanding of how web applications work including security and best development practices
Experience creating HTML email
Knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
Database skills in MYSQL, especially if associated with WordPress
Web design skills (provide samples or URLs)
Personal portfolio website, or list of sample URLs and your role on the site
Working towards a Bachelor's Degree or course in Computer Science or Related Field
