About the Role
The Firmware organization is responsible for the accelerated development of embedded software components and vehicle controllers, and delivers the Deep Connectivity Platform at industry scale.
Sibros is looking for an exceptional Test Engineer to embody a requirements-driven mindset to perform manual test on OEM customer vehicle platforms, as well as to validate Firmware to the highest degree of confidence. The ideal candidate will ensure that we can reliably validate every product, as quickly and efficiently as possible with scalability at the forefront of design.
Manual tester role responsible for executing test procedures against customer vehicle platforms and other test systems for Sibros Firmware releases.
Perform requirement analysis, test case design, test execution and test result reporting.
Monitoring and storing the relevant logs for the tests performed and maintaining traceability to the executed test cases.
Manage the end-to-end traceability between requirements and test cases.
Responsible for bug identification and troubleshooting based on instructions mentioned in manuals.
Responsible for performing sanity, regression and full volume tests of the release build.
Occasional travel directly to OEM customer facilities and service centers to perform tests, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
2 - 10 years of experience in firmware or software testing roles.
Possess a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Fluent in English. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with testing in the automotive industry.
Exposure to test automation and framework development activities
Coding experience in Python or other programming languages.
Experienced in the following:
Manual testing roles for software and hardware based companies
Microcontrollers, electrical circuits, and basic circuit design.
Using and/or setting up hardware-based test systems.
