We don’t just want to be your resume builder; we want to be the experience that defines your career.      We are currently seeking an intern to become part of our Supply Chain team based out of Long Beach, California.     As the Supply Chain Intern for Summer 2023 you’ll get to:    Own beginning to end data and metrics related projects supporting MRP and vendor/supplier data.   Assist in developing procurement strategies, tools and reports to eliminate or mitigate key risks in the Supply Chain   Accountable for ensuring data within MRP is accurate   Assist with demand, supply, and fulfillment planning within MRP   Optimize safety stock levels   Work in a cross functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals.   Work with multiple sites to support supply chain needs   You’ll bring these qualifications:     Pending or awarded Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, data analytics, economics, or other relevant field   Knowledge of planning, purchasing (direct and indirect), inventory management, and logistics   Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently    Excellent verbal and written communication abilities   Proficient in MS Office   Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines   A passion and interest in Aerospace and Space innovation   These qualifications would be nice to have:     Related experience/knowledge as Buyer, Material Planner, Production Planner, or equivalent   Proficient in SQL and MRP systems   Experience in managing remote resources across multiple sites   Experience with AS9100, ITAR export controls, EAR, and FAR   Prior experience in rapid growth environment   The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.  In addition to base salary, Rocket Lab offers a comprehensive total compensation offer package based on individual qualifications and experience, including company stock.
