About the role The Team Lead Mechanical Development and Test works closely with the Director of Vehicle Engineering and company managers to ensure the Mechanical Development department delivers to the requirements of engineering, production and operational parts of the company. The expectation for this position is to split time between managing the workflow and people within the team while still making individual contribution to engineering outputs. Success in this position will be measured by the ability of the combined Mechanical Development team to efficiently contribute to the overall success of the engineering and manufacturing departments at Rocket Lab. This success will be delivered through high engagement of team members and skillful prioritization of competing engineering development requests from other parts of the company.
