About the role As an Engineer with Ground Systems, you will be responsible for the design, build, testing and commissioning of mechanical launch pad and test sites for our Electron, Neutron and Space Systems including their fluid systems, supporting structures and mechanisms. You will also be involved in project planning and working closely with technicians to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification. We are looking for engineers from a variety of backgrounds including Structural, Mechanical design and fluid and processes engineering. As an Engineer in the team, you will carry out projects from conception to delivery. Essential skills
Mechanical, process or structural engineering degree or equivalent
2+ years’ industry experience
Experience with design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of fluid systems to national and/or international codes and standards
Experience leading complex engineering projects
Hands-on experience with fluid equipment or testing apparatus
Ability to read, understand, and produce P&IDs
Ability to work in fast paced, autonomously driven environment
Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
Desirable skills
Experience with launch pad systems OR oil and gas, process, mining, or other similar industry. This role is not limited to those with prior launch system experience.
Experience with NX, Teamcenter, Draftsight an asset
Experience with Structural design and analysis.
Experience with design of fluid systems to PEPCR, ASME, ASTM and/or NASA Ground system standards would be an asset
