About the role As part of the Avionics team your role will be Test Lead, a hands-on people manager role reporting to the Avionics Manager alongside the Leads for the Integrated Electronics & Design team(s). Your team will have 8-10 members and you’ll need to guide and mentor them whilst working alongside them, as well as managing Avionics Testing projects with budget and time constraints. These are the two principle components of the role, but other elements will include communicating your technical strategy to other teams and working cross-functionally on projects with almost every other team. We’ve built up a very collaborative environment at Rocket Lab and there’s a lot of room to build more. Our ideal candidate is someone from a strong DFM background who has led Design & Test efforts of highly customized Electronics, because that is what our Avionics team work on most of the time.
