The ISO serves two critical functions: 1) increasing Field Sales productivity by establishing qualified customer appointments, and 2) developing future sales leaders for field assignments. The Sales Development Manager supervises a team of sales development represent atives who are responsible for creating qualified sales appointments generated through inbound and outbound prospecting. The ideal candidate will help facilitate the achievement of these goals by hiring and training employees and contractors; coaching them on their selling skills and help support their daily activities. This manager works closely with cross-functional teams including marketing and field sales departments on programs to designed to help achieve company revenue goals. A strong candidate should be familiar with a variety of sales, marketing and operational concepts, practices, and procedures. This manager will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They will perform a variety of tasks and be a part of building a growing team in an exciting fast-growth company. A wide degree of creativity, accountability and ownership is expected. This role is based out of Staines Upon Thames, UK and will also manage a small team of contractors in Munich. What You Will Be Doing Manage and Lead a team of 10-20 SDRs Manage 1-3 Team Leads who supervise 8-10 SDRs Employee Evaluation and Staffing for SDR and Team Leaders Manages Team performance against quotas and sales forecasts, executes operating plans and ensures sales objectives are met. Collaboration and teaming cross functionally with partner, product management, training, marketing and operations on campaign design and execution. Recognition and Reward program design, budgeting and execution. Drive TQL and revenue/pipeline growth through consistently achieving individual and team quotas. Monitor daily activity of SDRs including outbound calls, targeting specific customers to achieve objectives and managing sales support activities Conduct weekly 1-1 and team meetings to maintain consistent communication and collaboration with each team member Coaching and activity planning for a diverse approach to customer prospecting ranging from marketing follow up, sales AE engagement and channel teaming Establish and report on metrics to measure performance of the inside sales activities; corrects deficiencies where necessary Collaborate with regional field sales employees on territory planning and execution Maintain and promote a successful and positive work environment; Train new hires and provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports What you bring to the team Minimum two to three (2-3) years of Sales Development Management or supervisory experience in the storage or high tech industry. Demonstrated experience recruiting, training, managing, growing and developing a sales development team Proven track record of successful sales development as a sales development representative Demonstrated knowledge of different sales methodologies, technologies and customer relationship management (CRM) systems: SalesForce, Insidesales.com, Discover.org Knowledge of virtualization technology, database and deep understanding of storage is preferred Experience with Channel Sales is preferred Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in sales related roles Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.
