Overview / What You’ll Do
Pure Storage is looking for an experienced leader to join us as Manager, Data and Analytics in Prague. As a leader of the Data and Analytics organization, this individual will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers to deliver robust master data solutions to improve/optimize Pure business operations and process. This individual will develop and implement a strategic vision for unifying core master entities across systems and data sources and is expected to have in-depth knowledge for many of the business-critical knowledge domains.
Responsibilities
Establish data as a service, enabling efficient, integrated, end-to-end management & delivery of high-quality data assets across the value chain
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to analyze and interpret data and KPIs; conduct deep dives to identify bottlenecks and growth triggers
Assess inefficiencies and existing processes to identify improvement opportunities
Recruit, develop, and lead a high performing team of leaders and individual contributors, mentoring and coaching team members to develop their skill
Managing and leading a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Working closely with the Product Management, Cross functional and internal team leaders to shape the overall data and analytics vision, as well as capability roadmaps for knowledge domains covered by the organization
Evaluating and selecting appropriate data technologies and tools to support the organization's data infrastructure.
Developing and implementing data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Requirements
9+ years of experience in software development
Should have a deep understanding of data engineering concepts, technologies, and best practices. This includes experience with data storage solutions , data processing frameworks, data integration tools, data warehousing, data modeling, and data governance.
Should be an effective leader who can inspire and motivate a team of data engineers. They should be able to delegate tasks, provide guidance and feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Should have experience managing large-scale data engineering projects. This includes defining project scope, setting timelines, and managing resources to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Should be able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They should also be able to collaborate effectively with other teams, such as data scientists and business analysts.
Should be able to think strategically about how data can be leveraged to drive business outcomes. They should be able to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and work with other teams to develop data-driven solutions.
Should be a skilled problem solver who can identify and resolve technical challenges. They should be able to troubleshoot issues and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
Should be committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices
