What You’ll Do
The Corporate FP&A team partners across the business to support the continued scaling of the business to make this mission a reality. As PagerDuty expands its product platform and geographic footprint, we are seeking a Corporate FP&A Senior Analyst to continue innovating and enhancing our processes to effectively scale company-wide planning and consolidation.
The Senior Corporate FP&A Analyst is responsible for providing company leadership with valuable insights into business performance to help drive decision-making that maximizes customer and shareholder value. The analyst will facilitate the monthly financil forecast cycle, collaborate with the team to analyze and manage our operating results, build process improvements to increase forecast efficiency and accuracy, and prepare reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders. Leveraging their knowledge of the consolidated financial statements, the analyst will contribute to agile planning and perform strategic analyses to support capital allocation decisions. In addition to refining existing processes, this role will play a key role in coordinating with various teams across the business to build new workflows related to M&A and strategic partnerships and learn how to scale business processes in a growth environment.
Responsibilities
Manage the monthly forecast process and partner with FP&A/Accounting to understand key trends, variance drivers, and risks and opportunities
Collaborate with other roles and teams to successfully support the preparation of annual budget and long range plan to align with company strategy and establish financial guidance targets
Enhance the cash flow forecast, as well as related balance sheet movements
Challenge existing processes and identify data inconsistencies to drive improvements increasing efficiency and accuracy of forecast and reporting
Support new company initiatives such as M&A, strategic partnerships, etc.
Provide feedback to refine PagerDuty’s financial planning system (Anaplan) and assist with implementing changes or improvements
Prepare reporting deliverables and presentations to communicate the company’s performance and strategy to executive management and Board of Directors
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of finance experience from a public accounting, investment banking, or high growth firm
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience
Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills, with great attention to detail
Solid understanding of financial statement analysis, corporate finance, and accounting concepts
Ability to juggle multiple requests and prioritize effectively to deliver projects on-time consistently without compromising high standards of quality
Ability to make well-reasoned FP&A decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and articulate reasoning with stakeholders
Knowledge of Netsuite and FP&A systems (Anaplan) a plus
The base salary range for this position is 100,000 - 153,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
