Web & Email Designer (Contract)

Niantic’s Marketing Creative Shop (“MCS”) builds excitement and interest in our games and company through eye-catching key art, video production, in-game promotions, merchandising, live-event activations, and more. The MCS has an immediate opening for a Web and Email Designer (Contract) focused on creating compelling websites, landing pages and email templates that support Niantic's vision to build technologies that move us. The Web and Email Designer will be immersed in Niantic’s brands, style guides and design systems. Combined with a deep understanding of contemporary design trends and industry best practice, you will create websites that present content in a clear and purposeful way, highlighting design, branding and messaging. You have a passion for crafting a world that enhances the brand experience for our audience, along with setting a high bar for quality and consistency. This is a contractor position and the work should be performed based on service agreement and SOW. Niantic will not offer Contractor direct employment contract, salary, benefits, equities, or any compensation associated with employment. Responsibilities Define, design and develop websites for both desktop and mobile across the Niantic brand portfolio, working with cross-functional design teams to ensure UX/UI workflows meet Niantic’s brand standards. Build website layouts for different products following brand guidelines and setting pages up for dynamic content, such as: blog posts, copy, static assets, banners and videos. Refresh seasonal websites with new themes, updated content and exciting announcements. Design and execute email marketing campaigns including build, visual QA testing, optimizing for both desktop/mobile and light/dark mode limitations. Partner with the Digital Marketing team to manage content, personalization and understand performance, adjusting as needed. A professional portfolio of work that demonstrates a high-quality collection of published websites and email communications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, web design, or related field. A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a web designer, email designer, or equivalent. Good understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript. High proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite. Strong understanding of design principles, visual design, responsive design, web accessibility standards, and usability. Knowledge of best practices in email development, email compliance regulations, and accessibility. Proficient in responsive email design. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects successfully under tight deadlines Plus If… Familiarity with mobile games and/or the app development process. A gamer with familiarity and knowledge of Pokémon GO. General curiosity in Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The salary range for this role is $43.71 - $56.54 per hour.
