Maven is looking for a highly motivated individual with a background in public or corporate accounting to join our team as a Senior Revenue Accountant. You will have the unique opportunity to help build out revenue functions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in the development and enhancement of our internal processes and systems to drive full compliance with the revenue recognition standard ASC 606.
As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Maven, you will:
Support the month-end and quarter-end revenue close, including invoicing, reconciliations, related fluctuation analysis and other reporting requirements
Support the quote to cash process
Evaluate customer contracts to ensure that revenue is recognized accurately in accordance with accounting standards
Participate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over the order to cash process
Responsible for managing all outstanding receivables and follow-up communications
Assist in the building out operating procedures and controls for invoicing and revenue recognition
Partner with the Data team to enhance the process and create visibility into customer billing
Provide support with audit requests and deliverables
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA
Minimum three years of progressive work experience
Ability to commute to our NYC office 1 day/week (role is hybrid)
Proficiency with advanced formulas in Microsoft excel and Google Suite applications
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp focus on details
Ability and desire to build and cultivate strong relationships with team members and internal
Preferred Requirements:
Experience in telehealth or SaaS
Experience with Salesforce, Looker and ERP system
Big 4 accounting experience
For candidates in NYC, CA, or CO, the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $125,000 per year. You may also be entitled to receive stock options, and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
