Mason is looking for a WA-based ambitious, knowledgeable, organized, and process-driven HR Generalist with strong communication skills to partner on the administration of HR for ~90 employees in the US and APAC.  This position fully embodies our value of Owners be Owning and is a great fit for someone who loves supporting and engaging employees, problem-solving, creating things from scratch, analyzing their performance, and continuously improving them.  Mason needs a combination of grit, smarts, ingenuity, and diverse perspectives. What you’ll do:  Create SOPs and recommend best practices to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; partner with our general counsel and advisors as needed Administer health and welfare plans including enrollments, changes, and terminations; act as a liaison between stakeholders and perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions; facilitate annual open enrollments Manage leaves of absence as well as own onboarding and off-boarding Partner with stakeholders to support an HRIS implementation and administer payroll, as needed Administer engagement surveys to gather the voice of Masons; summarize findings, identify themes, and propose solutions, as needed Create employee recognition programs and source L&D resources, as needed Maintain and audit personnel files including record-keeping, I-9 verifications, employment verifications, work visas, and electronic labor law posters Be a DEI ally and advocate, fully embodying our Be Inclusive value Maintain knowledge of employment trends, best practices, regulatory changes, employment law, and new HR technologies Support the People function as needed including administrative support, employee engagement & relations, and other duties as assigned What you bring to the table:  At least 3 years of HR experience in Washington state Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field; or equivalent experience Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Experience administering health and welfare plans Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, and the ability to master an HRIS and new technical systems Bonus points for:  Experience in a tech startup environment and SMB - we’re a scrappy, scaling bunch! Experience implementing or managing HRIS software Experience working with teams in APAC Additional HR training, certifications, or experience such as SHRM, PHR, CEBS, or continued education A great sense of humor! Salary Range: 95,000 - 115,000 USD   In addition to the base salary, full-time employees are eligible for participation in Mason’s annual discretionary bonus plan and equity plan, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay based on exemption status.
