As a Computer Vision Scientist, you will be challenged to solve real world problems with cutting edge CV technology that drives Kargo’s core business. You will be taking the latest advancements in computer vision research in areas like detection, tracking, segmentation, OCR, and SLAM, and experimenting with them and directing the team to implement the right solution.
Responsibilities
Research CV solutions for image processing, text recognition, image classification/detection, costs and optimization of running models.
Implement end to end solutions to extract useful information from our sensors using CV.
Work with engineering teams, and give directions to deploy these solutions into production.
Keep up to date with literature in the field and suggest implementation strategies for new methods.
Experience
5+ years experience as a Research Scientist in the area of Computer Vision.
Experience in Python, C++, PyTorch, Tensorflow.
Familiarity with latest deep learning CV models and progresses.
Experience as a self-directed research scientist who excels at driving new research ideas from concept and experimentation to production.
Research experience and publications in CV, a plus.
PhD or MS in Computer Science, Computer Vision or a related technical field.
