About the role:
As a software engineer on the K Health team, you will join a world-class group of software engineers, business leaders, and designers who are continually creating and supporting patients and clinical experiences to patients. We're hoping to add your expertise in software engineering to our team.
As a member of the K Health’s development team, you will engage in work to introduce features and components to our best-of-breed pioneering health platform. By regularly shipping a variety of products, from small internal tools to large-scale web applications, you will directly and meaningfully impact the experience of millions of people. With an engaged community of users, you'll then have opportunities to improve your work based on the feedback and data you've collected to help measure your success.
We are seeking engineers who have significant experience working on highly-scalable, distributed systems, building robust services that interface with internal and external service providers, and consuming/instrumenting big data for analytics and reporting. As an experienced engineer seeking an opportunity to help shape the future of one of the world's largest digital healthcare platforms, we hope you'll consider joining K Health!
What you'll do:
Communicate technical concepts clearly, tailoring explanations to the technical familiarity of audience
Identify risks, trade offs, and alternative solutions before making design decisions
Take the lead in designing and implementing solutions
Spearhead investigations, production issues and bugs
Identify tech debt before it becomes an issue and work with team to prioritize it appropriately
What we're looking for:
4+ years experience building production APIs and backend systems
Experience working with modern development languages and frameworks (Python, NodeJS preferred)
Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and monitoring
Excellent working knowledge of database technologies (PostgreSQL, Mongo)
Experience with container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
Strong problem solving and analytical/reasoning skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bonus :
Experience working with distributed systems
Working with AWS or other cloud providers

Compensation Range:
$140,000 - $205,000
Compensation: $140,000 — $205,000 USD
