We are looking for a Senior Business Analytics Manager to join our centralized Data Science and Data Engineering team. Reporting directly to our Vice President of Data Science, you will play a crucial role in Hotel Engine’s data-driven strategy, leveraging data assets and advanced analytics to drive business value across the organization. You will focus on building and maintaining data infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional leaders to deliver high-value business intelligence and analytics. Your role will be crucial in coordinating efforts across function, acting as the liaison between embedded analysts and the centralized data science team, managing our business intelligence stack, and overseeing our data models. This key leadership position offers the opportunity to influence business direction, requiring a highly motivated, self-starting individual with a strong track record in data science and a focus on rigorous work and action.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Lead a team of data analysts and analytics engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts between embedded data analysts and the centralized analytics engineering and data science team, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient knowledge sharing.
Act as the liaison facilitating communication and alignment on data-driven projects and initiatives.
Oversee and manage the business analytics stack in collaboration with our analytics engineering team, ensuring that our reporting and analytics infrastructure is scalable, efficient, and reliable.
Develop and maintain data models to ensure accurate and consistent data representation across the organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key business questions, develop data-driven strategies, and provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
Design, implement, and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions to track performance metrics and KPIs, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Develop a deep understanding of business processes and systems, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Communicate complex data insights to a diverse set of stakeholders, both in technical and non-technical terms, and drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
7+ years of industry experience in business analytics, data science, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving data-driven decision-making and delivering impactful results.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
Effective leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring a high-performing team of data analysts and analytics engineers.
Expertise in SQL, Python, or R, and experience with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau
Cash Compensation:
In addition to a compelling equity package and a performance based bonus, a reasonable expectation for total base compensation for this role is between $155,000 - $180,000/year. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and may vary from the amount above.
