The Role:
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst you will work closely with Forge product teams, engineering, business operations, brokers and vendors to oversee and maintain key technology platforms throughout the organization.
You will lead the execution of technology projects and will work closely with business users to support their always evolving needs. You will develop and maintain a roadmap of enhancements and will oversee product development efforts for multiple business platforms and applications.
You will have a keen eye for operational toil and a strong desire to remove manual tasks and duplicative work. You are allergic to silos and will liaise with operations and brokers to define problem statements used to inform, strategize and deliver right-sized technology solutions. Monitoring for and helping solve production issues is in your nature and you enjoy having a hands-on approach.
It frustrates you when systems, workflows and procedures go undocumented and you will continue to build on an established repository of drafted artifacts. You will proactively and effectively communicate in verbal and written communication status of projects you are responsible for and help remove obstacles as they surface.
In this position, you will report to the VP of System Operations and will work with other BSAs, System Admins and Engineers to collaborate as team daily, challenge and be challenged, succeed and fail, all in the spirit of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Be a product owner for internal business platforms and applications to support Forge operations and back-office engineering
Analyze business platforms, applications and processes to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, integrations and enhancements
Help Forge leadership provide analysis of build vs. buy scenarios
Develop and maintain product road maps for System Operations
Be a technical liaison for Business Operations and Broker teams
Draft user stores and acceptance criteria
Perform hands on system configuration, testing activities and user acceptance
Prepare deployment planning and rollback strategies
Create and maintain thorough system documentation and procedures
Qualifications:
5-7 years of work experience in a business analyst, product analyst or product manager role supporting business platforms and applications
An undergraduate degree in computer science or business
Systematic and analytical problem-solving ability
Strong ability to dissect complex situations, troubleshoot and propose solutions
Hands-on, technology project execution experience, specifically the deployment, configuration and integration of systems both in-house and with vendors assistance
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, speaking to technical and non-technical business users
Ability to deep dive into data, identify and quantify opportunities, and design sustainable improvements and solutions
Clear understanding of system integrations and API concepts
Appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office or home office setting while working
Nice to Have:
Fintech, Financial services, Broker/Dealer or Custody industry experience
Experience with any of the following technologies or competitor solutions:
Service Management & Workflow tools (ZenDesk Suite, Jira)
Call Center Operations (RingCentral IVR, InContact)
Document Storage Solutions (LaserFiche)
CRM (HubSpot)
Data analysis and reporting experience with a working knowledge of SQL
Experience with BI tools such as Looker or Power BI
Experience at growth stage startups
CALIFORNIA ONLY: This position is up to $135,000/yr depending on experience. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Long Term and Short Term Disability and 401(k) Plan. This position is remote in San Mateo, CA.
