The opportunity:

Procurement Operations within our Partner Team is a new and critically important team that directly supports a company-wide strategic initiative focused on the procure-to-pay (P2P) process. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally to build a cost database that unites global Partner contracts in a centralized repository and in a standardized format, allowing for automation and optimization across several internal processes.
The Partner Procurement team is the end-to-end owners of Partner Charge data, which is the backbone of service offerings to our customers. As such, you will conduct analysis and research on data while also looking at the overarching procurement process and trade lane fundamentals.You’ll get substantial leadership exposure, focus on the highest priority business issues, and be plugged into every facet of the business.
What you’ll do:
Build best-in-class global partner procurement function
Oversee third-party data in a global cost database and provide guidance on how to structure disparate data formats, keeping in mind freight market fundamentals
Drive negotiations with freight forwarding/trucking partners in the region, delivering savings whilst deepening strategic relationships
Analyze financial performance of current & future partners globally, providing deep understanding of underlying end-to-end cost
Establish process & standards to benchmark partner rates against market levels and underlying cost-to-serve
Contribute to the development and implementation of next gen partner software, including (automated) quoting; invoice validation & disputes; identification & remediation of sources of leakage
Ensure partners operate with a high level of integrity and compliance to global regulatory requirements
Support our commercial pricing processes by involvement in bids/tenders
What you’ll need:
BA/BS degree with 6-10 years of experience in (strategic) procurement, finance, management consulting; ideally part of which in logistics or supply chain;
Freight forwarding, particularly trucking procurement experience will be a plus
Excellent negotiation skills with track record of negotiating win/win outcomes;
Exceptional (financial) analysis skills;
Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis in Excel and/or Looker, including pivot tables and data distributions
Familiarity with SQL a plus
A system and process oriented mindset, ability to think end-to-end;
Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without authority;
