And we are constructing a digital view of trade networks, port information, carrier capacities, schedules and shipment activity.  Our Tech Team is looking for a seasoned Product Management leader to define a vision and strategy for our Marketplace and Finance teams and lead the reshaping of an entire industry by building the scalable system for global trade. The successful candidate is one who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You seek to dive deep into details on business, operations, and product. You are a technical and detail-oriented leader who can build and grow organizations and other leaders. You act as a leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You are a positive influencer across diverse teams, able to effectively rally support for your initiatives, and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals. You have strong judgment. Our leaders have a lot of ownership and autonomy so they need to be right a lot.  You will: Develop a customer-first product vision, strategy and roadmap for our Pricing and Service Offering teams for both Ocean and Air modes Become a domain expert, deeply understanding Flexport’s systems and the trade landscape to solve real problems with technology Manage the business metrics for Flexport freight offerings, developing our pricing technology and scaling its competitive advantages to serve different customer types Partner with business operations to ensure strong collaboration, security, and scalability Recruit, develop and motivate a diverse set of Product Managers creating a world class product group Build a strong product culture within your group Leverage data to develop meaningful business objectives and metrics to measure your team’s progress Inspire and lead cross functional teams of Product Managers, Designers, Data Analysts, Engineers and domain experts to implement, rollout and measure meaningful platform features Continuously improve Flexport’s product processes You should have: 5+ years experience managing teams of Product Managers and large cross functional product groups 10+ years experience as a Product Manager, in a mix of large, complex orgs and in startup environments and being self-directed. Experience leading product teams for operationally complex pricing, revenue management and marketplace businesses. Strong ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders Crystal clear communication and presentation skills, with a bias toward over-communication and inclusivity Demonstrated focus on managing and prioritizing business metrics, not just feature releases. Experience crafting long-term vision and quarterly roadmaps from market insights and customer research Ability to manage a highly complex set of products in a complex domain Credibility to align multiple product teams and business teams on long running company wide initiatives Business acumen with curiosity to learn and become an expert on a complex product Proven experience transforming independent products into a cohesive platform Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle Experience scaling in hyper growth mode Bonus: You have worked in logistics or a SaaS Mid-Market / Enterprise Product About Flexport: At Flexport, we believe global trade can move the human race forward. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. The US base salary range for this full-time position: (exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits.) $228,510 — $253,900 USD
