Position Overview: The Security Operations team is an agile, exciting, hands-on security operations team focused on protecting Diligent personnel, sites, and assets worldwide. We like to get our hands dirty working closely together and cross-functionally with the greater Security Department. Our goal is to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of customer, employee, and business information in compliance with organization, industry, and regional policies and standards.  In the Security Operations Analyst II role you are provided the resources and freedom you need to learn, grow, and try new things; the sky is your limit. You will help with strategy, development, and deployment of a comprehensive physical and logical cybersecurity operation programs throughout both Diligent Private and Public Clouds. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the position is responsible for oversight and operations on security event monitoring, incident response, user behavior analysis, vulnerability management, endpoint detection & response, and threat hunting. Key Responsibilities: Monitor SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management tooling and other sources to assess, prioritize, and escalate Cybersecurity events, alerts, and remediations Perform Security Monitoring and conduct Incident Response for Cybersecurity Events Build new SIEM use cases, alerts, and integrations for both on-prem and cloud infrastructure Optimizing/tuning existing detection thresholds and repair broken ingestion connections Associate against and adopt published Cybersecurity Frameworks Build audit logging analytic capabilities for AWS hosted assets Dictate best practices for security controls as part of AWS VPC / Control Tower environment deployments Monitor/Troubleshoot the health and performance of SecOps owned systems This includes virtual assets; on-prem, cloud based, and vendor-hosted Maintain effective relationships with teams across the business to drive security solutions and improvements Required Experience/Skills: Working experience in an operationally-focused Cybersecurity environment Especially on either a Security Incident Response (IR) Team, a Vulnerability Management (VM) Team, an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Team, or a Security Operations Center (SOC) Splunk on-prem Infrastructure administration and Integration configuration for all data sources Understanding of on-prem and cloud based virtualized/containerized systems, server, and network technologies Troubleshooting of Linux server, TCP/IP, RDP, SSH, DNS, port connections, firewall ACLs, etc. Technical expertise with general Cybersecurity tooling, like Vulnerability Management, SIEM, EDR, DNS Filtering, etc. Working experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Top 20 controls, etc. Preferred Experience/Skills Security certifications e.g. GCIH, CISSP, CEH, Security+, etc. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related sciences preferred. 5+ years of Cybersecurity and/or Information Technology experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience Strong decision-making capabilities, with an ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits to choose an appropriate response or action What Diligent Offers You   Creativity is ingrained in our culture.
