Position Overview
As Director - Business Technology Integration and Data Operations you will drive a multi-year strategy overseeing the architecture, integration, and data operations functions within the organization. The role involves leading a team of engineers to ensure that technology systems are well-designed, integrated, and optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability. You will ensure the strategy not only supports current daily needs but also scales with the company growth and helps provide premium employee experience. You are a ‘customer-first’ thinking leader and will lead a small global team of integration and data operations, play a hands-on role in key architecture design and be a site leader for other BT functions in the region.
You will be a critical member of the BT leadership team and work cross functionally with leaders across various functions to keep the technology roadmap directly aligned with business priorities.
You will lead change management activities on modern technology and adoption and work with key stakeholders to understand and manage expectations and provide technical consultation. You will provide leadership in continuously improving all areas of agile innovation, program management, strategic systems design, partner relations, innovation landscaping and enterprise-wide scale of operations.
Key Responsibilities
Defining the architecture, integration, and data strategies and roadmaps to support the business goals and objectives.
Leading the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions, including software, hardware, and infrastructure.
Ensuring that systems and processes are integrated effectively and efficiently, and that data is collected, stored, and managed securely.
Identifying and mitigating risks, including data security and privacy risks.
Managing relationships with vendors and third-party providers to ensure that technology systems and services are delivered to the required standard.
Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, system designs, and operating procedures.
Ensuring that technology systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Lead, mentor and grow a team of high performing BT engineers, implementing cutting-edge methodologies, drive agile release cycles and keep the tech stack relevant.
Translate Diligent’s BT operational goals related to your area into a technology roadmap to deliver innovative, world class measurable solutions around improving employee experience, supporting revenue growth, and increasing employee productivity.
Advance and maintain tech stack comprising of Dell Boomi, Snowflake, DBT, Five Tran and Tableau among others.
Develop collaborative relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to prioritize initiatives, align on industry best practice solution designs, and successfully implement elegant and scalable systems.
Support cross-company initiatives with Finance, People, Sales, Product, Engineering, etc. to effectively integrate systems and data across the company.
Interface daily or as needed with data analytics team and management; provide premium end user support around the tech stack
Provide transparency and ongoing communication into systems roadmaps, priorities, milestones, launches, etc.
Manage or work with outside consultants as needed.
Manage vendor contracts including assisting procurement in vendor negotiations.
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is typically required for this role. A master's degree may be preferred.
8+ years of solid hands-on technical management experience in integration and data operations.
Experience in driving strong relationships and business partnerships with key commercial leaders. Business consulting experience preferred.
Knowledge of integration technologies: You should have experience with a variety of integration technologies, such as Dell Boomi and RESTful APIs. You should also have experience integrating systems with cloud applications and platforms.
Data management experience: You should have experience in data management, including data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, and data quality management. Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, Dell Boomi and Tableau or related technologies is a must have.
Enterprise applications and general IT management Applications: Experience working with applications like Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle HRMS applications for integration and data operations.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
Experience in enterprise architecture is a plus. You should have a strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and methodologies, and experience in designing and implementing large-scale, complex systems.
Technical leadership: You should have experience managing technical teams and providing technical leadership. You should be able to mentor and coach team members and ensure that they have the skills and resources they need to succeed.
Project management skills: You should have experience managing projects, including creating project plans, managing budgets and timelines, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills: You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of industry trends: You should stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and can evaluate their potential impact on the organization.
