About the Role:
Demandbase is looking for a Product Manager with experience related to data, building delivery mechanism and developing data products, and creating new revenue streams. Our Data Cloud delivers the three essential components of Market Intelligence--data, insights and connections—delivered how our clients can best consume enterprise applications- CRM, Marketing Automation, Streaming, API or via flat file delivery. The Data Cloud maximizes marketing, sales and account management results by automatically revealing critical information about companies and people through the entire customer lifecycle. What you'll be doing:
Understand strategic & competitive position in the market through customer interactions, partner relationships, and market research
Define strategy, bringing customer feedback and pain points forward in prioritization, data definition, and content roadmap development
Identify, evaluate, and manage partnerships aligned with content roadmap
Work closely with sales engineers, professional services, support and other product managers to define the most important problems, define solutions, and help drive cross functional solutions to deliver a “whole product experience” for customers
Understand and continuously gather intelligence about the current and future trends in B2B data and intelligence in order to deliver innovation
This position will be responsible for creating and managing the roadmap and product development for Demandbase's data cloud applications
You will be working closely with sales, marketing and GTM teams as well as software development teams throughout the development lifecycle
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish product requirements and priorities
Deeply understand customers, technology and competition, and synthesize into product strategy
Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
Being ruthless as it comes to backlog prioritization and making tactical trade-offs
Clearly communicate the expectations, plans and status of projects/features on the product roadmap and in development
Collaborate with multiple teams to guide projects through development and bring high quality products to life
Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products around growth, engagement, retention and monetization
What we're looking for:
3+ years of Product Management experience in an agile development environment; background with Data or Sales or Marketing technology a huge plus
Broad knowledge of the B2B data landscape
Experience working with customers and partners to gather product requirements
Experience working with product development teams with emphasis on data processing and data aggregation methodologies
Technical competencies and demonstrated leadership implementing data-driven solutions (e.g. data warehouse, data processing, MDM, business intelligence)
Analytical experience and product prioritization decision-making experience
Experience with agile, scrum, project management, and story-drafting
Comfort and ability to present to both internal and external audiences, from executive decision makers to technical personnel
Experience working with colleagues across time zones (San Francisco, Austin, Hyderabad)
Experience writing concise and clear definitions (user stories) of prioritized features for technical team implementation
Ability to translate and articulate complicated business problems into easily understood solutions and functional requirements
Experience working cross-functionally, with a distributed team, across Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Marketing and Business Development
Superior communication skills with demonstrated ability to navigate a complex organization and generate buy-in for ideas and plans
