Role Summary
Rivian Finance seeks an Internal Audit Assurance Manager to assist in leading its SOX assurance programs. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with financial reporting, SOX requirements, and related process methodologies with interest in assessing new ESG-related processes. As an Internal Audit Assurance Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Responsibilities
Supervise the work of our SOX co-source partner and internal team members;
Support Internal Audit leadership in the overall management of the SOX program;
Drive critical program objectives through effective project management across internal and external stakeholders and the work of our co-source partner;
Apply your end-to-end process knowledge to improve the rigor and risk-based focus of control design assessments;
Liaise with process owners, internal auditors, external auditors, and other stakeholders;
Collaborate with business partners to prepare for internal and external audit reviews;
Assess remediation plans and closure of control deficiencies;
Partner with the SOX Compliance team and process owners to identify and incorporate impacts of system, configuration, business, and process changes to the Company’s SOX program;
Gain exposure to end to end processes and identify opportunities for significant enhancements in operational efficiency, overall effectiveness, and identifiable benefits to the company;
Develop value-added relationships with process owners, challenge the status quo, and demonstrate an understanding of best practices;
Become a thought leader in areas of expertise, such as risk assessment, internal controls, operations, and compliance initiatives that support a strong internal control environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field required;
Maintains either a CPA or a CIA; a CISA designation is a plus. Multiple certifications are encouraged;
Minimum 5-8 years of work experience with either a Big Four accounting firm, large/complex internal audit department, and/or management consulting firm conducting integrated-audits;
Strong understanding of finance and accounting and internal control practices with in-depth knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, PCAOB Auditing Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, risk and controls standards, and business process best practices;
Experience in managing a remote team;
Ability to travel up to 15%.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include the following:
Strong technical accounting skills; ability to research and understand technical details and interpret and present in lay terms to non-technical finance and other business partners;
Experience with SAP and supporting financial system implementations is a plus;
Experience in managing a remote team.
