As a Senior IT Systems Administrator you will be responsible for helping support our staff and maintain our infrastructure as we build the next generation of satellites to connect the world. We have a diverse technical environment including Windows, Linux, and MacOS systems where you will have the opportunity to help define and improve processes related to deployment, maintenance, onboarding, and offboarding. You will also be responsible for our most critical Linux systems so this role places an emphasis on Linux administration and Bash scripting. We are looking for someone who will not just get things done, but understands the importance of taking the time to follow best practices to ensure the security and scalability of our infrastructure. Role Deploy and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure Test and deploy new software and technologies Write automation scripts Working closely with our engineering teams to provide support for the development and manufacturing of space hardware Keep documentation on infrastructure, policies, and procedures up to date Collaborate with team members to address IT challenges as they arise Requirements 6+ years of experience general System Administration  3+ years of experience in Linux Administration 2+ years experience in Bash scripting Excellent customer service Skilled in troubleshooting technical issues Administration experience with Active Directory, Okta, Google Workspace or similar Experience with Virtualized Environments Strong experience in both Windows and Linux infrastructure including deploying new physical and virtual servers and services Highly motivated with an eye for improving processes through automation Comfort with (and enthusiasm for) taking on tasks that require learning new skills and using new tools Able to perform duties autonomously without much supervision Excellent written and oral communication skills Don’t meet all the requirements? The base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 per year.     What we offer:  Base pay is a single component of Astranis' total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, performance bonuses, high quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on-site catered meals.   Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources.
