Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do
Build and maintain a fly-by-wire aircraft according to aviation standards using shop and calibrated tooling including torque wrenches, crimping and stripping tools
Document and communicate aircraft deficiencies, and work with the engineering team to correct them
Participate in all aspects of the Flight Test Safety Risk Management process
Contribute to flight test success as part of the ground crew
Provide input on the design and fabrication of novel air vehicles from a perspective of hands on repairability and maintainability
Meet scheduled timelines and, in some cases, aggressive deadlines to have aircraft flight ready for project milestones
What You Need
8-12 years of experience in the aerospace industry
8-12 years of aircraft maintenance experience
Exposure to developmental flight test
Aircraft configuration management and conformity experience
A collaborative attitude and a meticulous attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A&P license (or military equivalent)
Demonstrated familiarity with AC43.13-B
Great communication skills and a high attention detail are required
Experience working with high voltage systems
Knowledge of wiring techniques and best practices (crimping, routing, securing, etc.)
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with electric aircraft
Prior experience/working knowledge of composite frame and repair
Hands-on with fly-by-wire aircraft and flight test instrumentation
Maintenance experience with Part 23 and/or Part 27 certification flight test
Underpinning knowledge of IPC 610/620
Experience working with CAD, NX, Confluence, JIRA

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
