Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What you’ll do:
Be a quality engineer on a world class team with expertise in oversight of flight critical Systems/Software/Hardware complying with ARP-4754/DO-178C/DO-254
Oversight of flight systems/software development across products including platform software, flight controls, motor control, battery management, displays, communication, navigation, surveillance and others.
Participate in the definition and documentation of streamlined systems/software development and verification processes supporting the certification of safety critical systems/software/hardware and complying with ARP-4754/DO-178C/DO-254.
Implement and maintain systems/software quality assurance documentation, processes, and policies, including supplier software quality management.
Work with both the internal software team and external supplier software through Stages of Involvement (SOI) audits 1 to 4 to meet all DO-178C/DO-254 objectives.
Audit software lifecycle data items and participate in reviews of all levels of systems/software/hardware process.
Witness and provide oversight of systems/software/hardware test and conformity activities.
Participate in the resolution of nonconformances, and Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
Interface with suppliers to ensure software quality and conformity
Interface with certification authorities to support systems/software/hardware certification
Foster team collaboration, promote and support personal development.
What you need:
8+ years of experience in a related field.
At least a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree.
Hands on experience certifying safety critical systems/software/hardware to DAL-A or B
Experience with ARP-4754, DO-178C, DO-254 and DO-330 standards
Hands-on experience through the Full Systems/Software Development Life Cycles in the aviation industry
Familiarity with diverse tools and technologies used for the development, testing and analysis of DO-178C software
A quality mindset

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $148,000 - $185,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
