Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What you’ll do:
Develop, build and manage a comprehensive quality assurance program and team that covers all operational activities of Archer Air and Operated by Archer Air maintenance.
Establish and accomplish the audit function of the continuing analysis and surveillance system (CASS) per 14 CFR 135.431 as directed by the DOM.
Conduct surveillance of the total maintenance system to ensure compliance with the company maintenance procedures and applicable CFRs.
Establish and accomplish initial and recurrent audit criteria of Approved Providers per the standards defined within the appropriate Company manuals.
Develop and maintain the currency of the Repair Station Quality Control Manual (QCM).
Develop and manage the Required Inspection Item (RII) program.
Develop and manage the aircraft records program.
Develop and manage the tool control program.
Foster an environment in which safety, compliance and quality are everyone's priorities.

What you need:
Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
5+ years experience in a Quality role in aviation or equivalent in a technical organization.
3+ years experience leading a technical project or team.
Ability to develop and implement quality control systems to ensure all Archer Air and Operated by Archer Air aircraft maintenance operations are compliant within applicable regulations and company manuals.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time in support of building the Archer Air network.
Experience communicating and working collaboratively with the FAA.

Bonus Qualifications:
BS degree in an aviation or related field.
Fixed and or rotary wing part 135 or 121 experience.
Coordinating Agency for Supplier Evaluation (CASE) Level III certification.
Quality certification (ASQ, etc.).

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $112,000 - $130,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
