Senior Software Engineer - Alt Trading

What we are looking for: As a Senior Software Engineer at Alt, you will be working on the Alt Trading team. This role would work cross functionally with Alt’s traders and sourcing teams in order to grow and optimize our portfolio. We have a growing user base and are looking for someone to level up our trading efforts to help build a world class alternative asset exchange that will be used by millions. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer with a passion for financial technology to make a significant impact on our business and the industry as a whole. The impact you will make: Partner with Alt’s traders and sourcers to iteratively improve the inventory pnl, risk management and throughput through developing ever-improving systems and processes. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the exchange, data and pricing teams to leverage the full ecosystem that Alt has to offer. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on system performance. What you bring to the table: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, with a focus on building and implementing trading systems. Passion for leveraging data to find improvements in trading processes and opportunities for growth Expertise in Javascript. Background in backend or full-stack engineering.  In-depth knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement effective solutions for complex trading challenges. Passion for sharing your knowledge with others and enthusiasm for the alternative asset space.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience in using Retool and a strong understanding of its capabilities and limitations. Experience with SQL. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors including work experience.
