          Description: We are seeking a Biostatistics / Bioinformatics (Senior) Scientist with a passion for developing and applying methods to model and analyze high-throughput biological data. The successful candidate will design, execute, and implement methods for statistical computation. He or she should be an expert in handling biological data in a statistically sound manner. The candidate will work with innovative technology and collaborate with a highly talented and motivated team to address unmet research and medical needs.   Responsibilities: · Support customers in analyzing Alamar’s unique biological data · Support the development of Alamar’s technology platform and develop and apply data analysis methods · Create graphical application(s) / dashboard(s) for users and customers to perform data analysis and QC (e.g. using R Shiny or similar) Required Qualifications: · PhD or Master’s with 3+ years of experience in biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or related disciplines · Solid understanding and experience in applying statistical methods for analysis of biological data, including hypothesis testing (e.g. ANOVA, multiple-test correction) and data modeling (e.g. linear/mixed models) · Hands-on experience in multivariate statistical analysis and high-dimensional data · Expert-level fluency in R is required; Python or other languages are a plus · Strong analytical mind and an interest in modern data analysis methods such as machine learning · Demonstrated productivity, scientific independence and strong problem-solving skills · Must be self-motivated with a positive “can do” attitude and have good project management skills · Strong communication skills and a demonstrated track record of success in a multidisciplinary team environment   Preferred Qualifications: · Hands-on experience in the design and application of computational methods for normalization and accurate quantification of biological data (e.g. NGS / microarrays, limma) · Experience with Shiny, Docker, AWS / Azure and Git The base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000 - $162,500 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
